Who are we?
The world class team
World Class Programs is an independently owned and operated study abroad company that specializes in high school study abroad. We are founded on the principals of quality and safety, and are dedicated to providing the best learning experience for our students. We have been in business for ourselves since 2016, but our dedicated team of global educators have been working in education and with students during the past decade. World Class Programs and our staff specialize in creating customized summer learning experiences for our students based around the student's personal plans and preferences.
Our programs are designed from the ground up to be unique, and to provide an individualized educational experience for each of our students. This is done by providing a small staff-to-student ratio on our trips to give our students a great deal of individual attention in their class work. We also tailor our trips to serve students long after they leave us. Upon completion of one of our programs, our students are more globally minded, leadership focused, and independent. We always try to maintain contact with our students and alumni, and support them in their educational and professional goals long after their time spent with us in the summer. In our line of work, we do not just travel with the students; we help all of our students build lasting experiences and memories. Let us arrange the details of your adventure. Apply today to join us this summer!
Why do we do it?
At World Class Programs, teaching is our passion. From the initial construction of our program, to the day that we say good-bye to the students for the summer, all of our staff work daily to ensure a fun, safe, and educational adventure for all students. Our knowledgeable teachers and experienced global staff are always here to provide engaging and fun curriculum. We do this by using our very own method of teaching. This method was developed by our Director Derek Tano and it is based largely around the educational theories of Dr. David A. Kolb. Our teaching method is centered around out-of-the-classroom learning, and builds upon experience, rather than textbook learning, to deliver information. With this method, we bring the curriculum alive with valuable experiences and cultural immersion opportunities. Along with the educational benefits, students will also meet new people from around the world, and experience a new way of life different from their own. All of this combines to form the ultimate summer experience with World Class Programs.
A Personal Letter;
“ Derek, Your kindness and professionalism is what has allowed us the comfort in knowing that Sophia was being looked after and her insecurities addressed. We wanted to let you know how wonderful our experience with you has been this past month. As a parent of a young girl, you question everything but you don’t want to be “that parent”. You have made it much easier for us to be here in the states while you travel Italy with Sophia. We are so very grateful to you for returning our calls in a very timely manner and taking the time to listen to and put our fears, and Sophia’s, at rest. If not completely, at least with the knowledge that you were there to oversee the issues and address them. We are so very grateful that you were the chaperone for this trip. I feel that you have made the experience for Sophia better than it would ever have been without you. She has certainly enjoyed your kindness and knowledge of the sites and the history you added to each. ”

Who are we
“ The World Class team of educators and supervisors are assembled from around the globe. We all share common connections through our mutual love for travel, and our backgrounds in education. Our faculty is comprised of outstanding professionals who treat teenagers with respect. They are educators who have the ability to help these teenagers open their minds, stimulate their intellectual curiosity and most importantly, allow them to feel comfortable with the content and culture in which they are trying to become proficient. Check out our team to the right to learn more about some of the staff who make our programs possible each summer! ”
